Role summary:
DataScience is seeking a unique individual who possesses a sharp analytical mind, data manipulation expertise, and top-notch communication skills to join our Insights team. At DataScience, we bring together the brightest data engineers and data scientists to help our customers extract the information they need from their data. This individual will be responsible for answering high-impact customer questions with data in a daily-turnaround environment.
Job requirements:
- Analyze customer data and digest information to answer key business questions
- Produce data stories that combine text and visualizations to communicate insights to clients clearly and effectively
- Work in a deadline-driven environment alongside data scientists to uncover insights buried in vast amounts of data
- Build tools and processes to iteratively improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables
- Address customer satisfaction and escalating issues as necessary
Required experience:
- The ability to convert business questions into questions for analysis
- Extremely strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of, and respect for, fundamental statistical concepts
- Exposure to programming languages, particularly SQL and/or Python
- Strong attention to detail and care when working with data
- The ability to turn a technical analysis into a simple, compelling story with concise data visualizations and clearly-written copy
- The fortitude to rapidly learn new tools and understand new data sets
- Strong customer empathy
- A desire to work in an extremely fast-paced, quick turn-around environment
- A positive attitude and thirst for building something great
