POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Assistant is a key member of the BCGDV HR Team supporting DV US. The HR Assistant will provide generalist HR support including supporting employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, employee life events, maintaining HRIS files, and providing overall support to the DV US HR team. The HR Assistant will interact with BCG West Coast HR staff and other US HR teams.
 
The individual in this role with work closely with the DV HR Manager and HR Generalist partnering with BCG HR to oversee the DV Manhattan Beach office HR processes with strong attention to detail, timeliness, and a high level of customer service. In addition, the Human Resources Assistant will work closely with the DV HR Manager to ensure consistency and effectiveness in our approach across all US offices and act as a true HR Business Partner.
 
 
BASIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HR Assistant is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to BCGDV US. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Onboarding
  • Process employee paperwork related to new hires, transfers, address changes, status changes, and employee exits with sensitivity to the confidential nature of the information
  • Point person for all background check processing including submission, follow up and communication to new hires, etc.
  • Responsible for all HR Online (HRO) entries, including, but not limited to, new hire and summer intern entry, salary changes, transfers, background checks, etc.
  • Coordinate one-off new hire orientations for new arrivals to all DV US offices
  • Provide relocation information, ensure transfer memos and offer letters are signed and filed
  • Responsible for communications to all new hires including first day logistics
Administration of benefits and various programs
  • Partner with DV HR Generalist (and West Coast HR team when needed) to process all enrollments, changes and terminations related to BCG benefit plans and coordinate open enrollment for all benefits programs, e.g. health insurance, flexible spending accounts and life insurance
  • Oversee corporate credit card program including issuing and canceling cards, increasing limits, addressing balance issues and auditing card holder reports on monthly basis
  • Oversee and approve business card program
  • Assemble and update all materials for employee packets, including: new hires, transfers, maternity leaves, Short Term Disability, and employee exits
Other Responsibilities
  • Work with DV HR Manager to maintain local HR Online database—personal data, job, office, compensation and working capacity history, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Assist with general employee requests, letters, verifications, etc.
  • Work with DV HR Manager to maintain immigration records; liaise directly with BCG Immigration team and employees to ensure a smooth visa process
  • Schedule, track and maintain records on employee sexual harassment training in compliance with California law
  • Understand, interpret and communicate BCG HR policies and guidelines
  • Assist with other HR data and reporting requests including but not limited to sick, pto and vacation reporting liaising with DV US Finance
  • Complete employment verifications and provide employment letters upon request
  • Maintain audit records for employee files including but not limited to I9 files, quarterly benefits open enrollment, vacation tracking and offer letters
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required and Assist with ad hoc projects
Basic Job Requirements
  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years HR or administrative support experience, preferably at a professional services firm
