Who We’re Seeking:

A Head of Product with a strong set of technical and UX skills, and a proven product execution background at a major online brand (ideally that crosses over content, ecommerce, games) with a large audience. The Head of Product will be responsible for developing and executing a product strategy and roadmap. They will oversee this roadmap taking into account the need to build or integrate products and platforms that appropriately balance the need for speed-to-market, scalability, and differentiation. They work closely with the technology and marketing groups to develop, scope, spec, build, and go live with products that gain mass consumer adoption.

Key responsibilities:

  • Hire and develop an incredible product team committed to developing innovative solutions aligned with the Omaze’s business model and vision. This will include product, project, and creative professionals, as well as matrix support from engineers and marketers as needed.
  • Create and manage product strategy and roadmap across all platforms and for all of Omaze’s intellectual property.
  • Operational role with all company applications for online (Omaze.com, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and mobile platforms (Android, iOS, etc.).
  • Develop a real time feedback loop and process analytics to understand how Omaze users are consuming, viewing, purchasing, and sharing.
  • Champion product initiatives and business cases to executive management team for prioritization and development.
  • Develop a fast-paced organization / culture to create, prototype, test and release the product.
  • Oversee the design and usability of everything Omaze creates. Impact the UX factor of product development by influencing wireframes, taxonomy, and flows.
  • Work with engineering and marketing teams in the definition of functional requirements and lead the design and execution of applications and products.
  • Monitor all the Omaze products (features, design, usability), and work with internal teams to gather customer and market feedback and integrate that feedback in experience.
  • Manage internal programs (and vendors) to test Omaze apps / websites / solutions usability. You will be responsible to create usability tests and oversee the evaluation and processing of the data.
  • Create/prepare presentations for Executive Team / Board representing user experience deliverables through presentation of design concepts.
  • Build the strategic plan for the product organization structure short-term and long-term.
  • Be part of the team developing a corporate understanding of Omaze’s business risks, competitive landscape, and industry-wide (or niche) opportunities.
  • Develop tools to mine consumer data to improve conversions. Leverage big data solutions.
  • Develop a fast-paced organization / culture to create, prototype, test and release the product.

Our ideal candidate:

  • 7+ years product experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • A current and deep understanding of ecommerce, game mechanics and digital media.
  • Firm grasp on the interconnected relationship and dependence between product and engineering (and product and marketing) teams with strong thoughts on how best to manage teams effectively.
  • Experience in an Internet business with a large audience.
  • Experience with lean and agile product development methods.
  • Passionate about using analytics to drive user behavior and increased customer value.
  • Familiarity with management of large database, customer segmentation and transformation of data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, testing and continuous iteration.
  • Experience with segmentation & targeting (CRM), acquisition & retention (LTV / RPU), and conversion reporting & analytics (KPI’s).
  • Strong grasp of multivariate testing/optimization.

Location

The office is located in Marina del Rey with easy access to plenty of restaurants. We are close to LAX, beaches and Marina.
