Winc is looking for a VP / Director of Customer Acquisition. Winc, the leading wine subscription and fastest growing winemaker in the US, is looking for a sharp and experienced leader to head our customer acquisition efforts. This role will report to the CMO.
What you’ll do:
- Develop forward-looking customer acquisition strategy for Winc in conjunction with the exec team; direct the company’s resource allocation efforts to achieve its growth goals
- Run the P&L of all customer acquisition channels; manage an 8-figure annual budget and drive ROI & customer quality across a wide swath of digital and offline channels
- Develop the company’s viewpoint on channel attribution and appropriate ways to measure performance of channels
- Grow Winc’s already successful customer referral program to drive maximum ROI for our marketing efforts
- Build and run an always-on testing agenda to develop new sources of customer growth
- Own the customer conversion funnel for all channels for the company; develop and run a robust testing agenda to maximize conversion volume and quality
- Partner with the creative team to run an always-on creative testing agenda across all channels; lead the effort on providing data-based answers to messaging and creative questions
- Partner with the engineering team and be their primary business client to build a marketing tech stack for the business
- Lead and coach our customer acquisition team to accomplish all the above; maintain and adapt our roster of agencies
What the role needs:
- Several years of experience managing a broad set of customer acquisition channels, both digital and offline
- Razor-sharp analytical capability; unbiased and clean analyses; rigorous data-driven decision making
- Customer empathy and the ability to walk in the shoes of the consumer to drive creative and messaging strategy for channels
- Deep understanding of the marketing tech stack, and the ability to dig in with engineering on tech setup, data, vendor tags & pixels, etc.
- Ability to create and implement scalable processes across teams
- Established set of relationships in the marketing space across vendors, agencies, and partners
- Clean and concise verbal/written communication and inclination to work with all teams in the company
- A few years of experience leading and coaching teams
