What you’ll do:
WITHIN is looking for a Graphics Engineer to work with our Platform and Projects teams to push the visual quality of our VR and AR experiences. In addition to a strong mathematical foundation and understanding of modern rendering approaches and techniques, the ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of contemporary desktop and mobile GPU and CPU architectures and demonstrable experience of leveraging them effectively to create stunning visuals.
The impact you’ll make:
- First and foremost, help us to ship innovative VR and AR experiences across a wide range of target platforms
- Design and implement systems to achieve high-quality results in support of specific project requirements for rendering, lighting, particles, post effects etc
- Support content creators in their use of these systems
- Iteratively profile and performance-tune implementations to remove CPU and GPU bottlenecks
- Continuously monitor interactive rendering research for useful new approaches
What you’ll need to be successful:
- CS, Engineering or an equivalent degree is preferred
- Five or more years working in games or similarly interactive experiences, three or more years specializing in rendering
- Expertise with at least one modern graphics API (DX12/11, libGNM, Vulkan, OpenGL etc)
- Expertise with C/C++/C# and at least one flavor of high-level shader language
- Coach and mentor software engineers on the team in areas related to rendering and performance analysis
Bonus Points for:
- Professional Unity development experience
- iOS/Metal, Android/Vulkan development experience
- Experience with GPGPU/compute
- Knowledge of VR or AR development
