Great gameplay is the foundation of our games, and the game designer is the architect. They sit at the epicenter of the team and channel everyone’s ideas into solid gameplay systems and content. We are looking for great communicators and collaborators who can evangelize the vision throughout the development process.
Bonfire Studios is driven by the belief that great games can create great player communities. We love designers who can interact with both their team and their player community with positivity and respect.
Our Wish List- You have been a senior, lead, or principal game designer.
- Your experience has focused on more than one of the following aspects of design: Systems, Content, Narrative, and UI.
- You have experience with either scripting, level, or UI toolsets.
- You have broad knowledge of different game genres and platforms.
- You enjoy mentoring and teaching designers of all levels.
- Morning coffee run for the team before kicking off a new game concept.
- Leading a brainstorming meeting to help define new gameplay and units with the team.
- A deep dive into your Excel spreadsheet to balance the DPS between two classes.
- Going back and forth with a programmer to get exactly the right font to appear in game.
- Playtest the latest version of the game and help prioritize the list of action items for the team.
