We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst who is both data-driven and passionate about technology. You will work within our Finance & Analytics team to analyze, report, and support the performance of the company. The FP&A analyst will work with all areas of our business to help accurately forecast and communicate financial results with our investors and executive leadership team. This role will help GoGuardian reach its full potential by leading our annual forecasting and budgeting process and providing financial consulting and strategic support to leadership. With so many exciting projects, there will be no shortage of ways to make an impact on our growing company!
Success factors: - Directly own and manage the company’s financial modeling, which includes monthly pacing, quarterly (re)forecast, annual budget, and 3-year plan.
- Analyze monthly financial results. This includes performing variance analysis (actual to budget / forecast), sensitivity analysis, cohort and segmentation analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and formulating recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely and cross-functionally with all department leads to prepare the Management Discussion & Analysis package for the executive team and venture investors in addition to supporting board meetings, fundraising, and M&A activity.
- Work cross-functionally on strategic initiatives including pricing, customer acquisition, partnerships, commission plans, and strategic operations.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to develop and maintain finance-oriented business intelligence dashboards that tell the story behind data to non-technical team members.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning, investment banking or management consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or mathematics. MBA and/or CPA a plus.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and a deep understanding of financial and managerial accounting (on-the-job experience).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in modeling in-depth analyses from the ground up using Excel and SQL (preferably).
- Fantastic communication skills with ability to communicate complex analyses, data-heavy insights, and resulting recommendations in a simple, clear manner (be it verbally or in writing, including PowerPoint).
- Proven ability as a motivated self-starter. You’re comfortable in entrepreneurial environments and with proceeding to find answers without having them.
