System1 is looking for a Financial Analyst to be responsible for conducting financial analyses based on company and industry trends, preparing monthly reporting packages, building financial and operational reporting, assisting in the close and forecast processes, gathering and organizing financial and operational data, and assisting in other ad hoc projects for business owners and the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large sets of financial and operation data to identify key metrics, find trends, and present conclusions through reports, charts, models, and slides
• Prepare and maintain financial and operational reporting, including monthly financial packages, automated business reporting, and reports utilized by the finance and accounting teams
• Assist with the monthly operations review by working with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Set up new business processes and reporting by working with finance, accounting, and product managers
• Investigate and report on trends, work with managers to identify causes and communicate findings and possible solutions
• Planning and organization – prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work in an organized manner
• Team-oriented – value the importance of completing tasks on time, be willing to take on new projects, look for opportunities that will have a positive impact on the team and/or business, and is a team player

Qualifications

• 2+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team player with strong analytical skills
• Financial modeling experience preferred
