How you will contribute:

The Finance Intern will be responsible for working on short and long-term projects that will have a direct impact on our key business strategy. You will collaborate with department leads to create and update budgets and forecasts, work on data integrity to help us validate discrepancies in subscription data and billing, and contribute to our overall financial model and make effective improvements.

Skills you’ll bring:

  • 1+ years of experience within finance or business operations.
  • Recently graduated or graduating in the Spring of 2019.
  • Availability to work 20 to 30 hours per week. (We will be flexible around your class schedule/other commitments)
  • Familiarity with Excel. (Ex: sumifs, if-statements, VLOOKUP, index match, ect.)
  • Knowledge of the Three Financial Statements and how they all flow together.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, organization and multitasking skills. Must be a logical thinker- able to be presented a problem and create a template to find solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Ability to act as a liaison between the finance team and the company’s department leaders.
  • Presentation skills - be required being able to craft a story from data and analytics. (A short take-home assignment will be required of all qualified candidates later in the interview process.)

A few of these projects may include: Sales & Marketing ROI Analysis, Operational Efficiency, and Churn Analysis that drives product strategy. Success in the role will lead to the completion of multiple projects and initiatives within this team. Your development is important to us as we look to expand our team. In your first 90 days you will:

Learn about PatientPop’s business fundamentals by helping us analyze, manage and forecast our three financial statements. You will be exposed to each team, their function, and how they impact the business. You will develop an understanding of SaaS metrics and drivers that investors look at when evaluating our business in comparison to other SaaS startups. You will also further advance your Excel skills and work on data validation and comparison.
