The Honest Company has kicked off a search for an External Quality Manager! In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality and effective processes and systems, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at Honest’s suppliers and manufacturers.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement supplier quality procedures for The Honest Company
- Work with new suppliers to ensure they meet The Honest Company’s supplier quality requirements
- Develop, negotiate, and maintain quality agreements
- Develop supplier quality audit schedule and perform audits
- Support remediation of quality related issues between suppliers and The Honest Company
- Develop quality performance metrics and perform quality risk assessments for suppliers
- Assist in the development, implementation, and authorization of specifications, production records, quality policies and procedures, sampling and testing plans, and other quality-related documents
- Assist with investigations and risk assessment related to product and/or process problems
- Develop the external quality budget

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in quality operations in consumer products, food, or pharmaceutical business
- 3-5 years of experience managing supplier quality including performing supplier audits
- Extensive knowledge and experience in a cGMP-related environment
- Strong analytical, organizational and process development skills
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels of management and build effective cross-functional (internal and external) relationships
