The Email Marketing Specialist
flawlessly executes email marketing campaigns across our network of
elite news sites based in Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore, Orlando and
additional communities. The ideal candidate is exceedingly
detail-oriented, provides excellent service to internal customers, is
flexible in a fast-paced environment, and recommends new ideas and
processes to his/her manager and colleagues
Responsibilities:
- Interface with sales and marketing personnel to execute email marketing campaign, reporting and analysis requirements.
- Perform email campaign management, execution, reporting and analysis.
- Use
a variety of tools to determine optimal audience targeting criteria for
solo, targeted email programs, and execute upon programs. - Responsible
for day to day support of e-mail vendor systems; including
communication on enhancements, changes, support issues, outages and
special projects with vendor account teams. - Research new methods applicable to email marketing to improve the productivity of email campaigns for the department.
- Work on cross-departmental teams that support the department’s goal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree and 2+ years of experience in a direct/database marketing,
online media planning/buying, web analytics and/or similar role.
- One
year hands-on background in email marketing preferred with knowledge of
service providers such as Cheetah Mail. Knowledge of basic HTML
preferred.
- Must
be able to work both independently and in a team environment, and be
able to interact effectively with other team members, management and
customers. Must have a strong customer focus that conveys responsiveness
and competence to internal and external customers
- Must
be an analytical thinker with a detail orientation, and be able to
multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, project management and organizational skills are essential
