ServiceTitan is hiring a Director, Technical Project Management to lead and own projects within our Engineering, Product and Customer Success teams. We have had incredible success in our early years, and are now set up and excited to enter into the next stage.

This role requires excellent project management, communication, and operational/organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify, and communicate risks to key stakeholders, including the senior leadership team. The person in this role will be responsible for building and implementing processes for scoping project plans, and communicates to stakeholders on status, risks, and process or product changes across ServiceTitan.

The Director, Technical Project Management will be a key person to facilitate growth and success at ServiceTitan by providing insight and influencing across multiple teams. He/she will need to possess excellent communications skills, with extensive experience in project management. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, have superior analytical skills, strong ability to identify and solve multiple/simultaneous/.ambiguous/complex problems.


Responsibilities

  • Initiate projects & programs by leading alignment on program scope, release planning, SCRUM process. aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional support
  • Responsible for developing and being the gatekeeper and manager for new product and engineering launch processes to ensure quality and efficiency of what we will deliver to resolve customers needs.
  • Working with multiple delivery teams to take ownership and accountability of technical project planning and delivery
  • Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional leaders & stakeholders to drive focus on the strategic project objectives and optimize delivery. This includes supporting and holding resources accountable for their responsibilities within the project
  • Educate all teams (Engineering, Product, CS) on our process to ensure a shared understanding including alignment on key topics
  • Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.
  • Provide visibility to project status (key decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis. Ensure data is collected to appropriately inform decision making for mitigating risks and resolving issues.
  • Organize key scrum meetings (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective)
  • Keep sprints on track by monitoring progress and identifying and removing obstacles
  • Promote and solicit honest and transparent feedback so teams can continue to get better at delivering features
  • Resolve conflicts between team members through open and timely communication
  • Administer the tools used to manage and track development tasks (JIRA, Wizeline, Quip, etc.)
  • Assist with roadmap planning, backlog prioritization and provide project timelines/visibility into development milestones to other teams
  • Build out a team of scrum masters as we grow the product and engineering teams
  • Take accountability for overall quality and stability of existing code and new deployments
  • Make recommendations on engineering and QA staffing needs by regularly analyzing the product backlog and roadmap priorities and comparing with current team velocity
  • Establish a clear plan/roadmap for ensuring industry leading metrics as it relates to code stability, release quality and resolution timeline
  • Act as the primary owner of receiving root case data from all code related tickets and ensure proper prioritization and remediation
  • Conduct post deployment team meetings to help identify improvements opportunities and assign owners for each activity along with dues dates and follow-up steps
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with executives and technical and non-technical team members a like

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Project/Program management roles in a Software environment
  • A demonstrated track record of excellent outcomes in a growing organization
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment consisting of many teams with competing projects and priorities
  • A genuine interest and excitement in striving toward ambitious goals and rallying a multiple teams around those goals, and leveraging data to help you achieve those goals via methodical execution
  • Cross-functional influence, relationship building, and project management skills towards a broad constituency ranging from partners, customers and sales
  • Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance customer needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • BA/BS degree - MBA preferred
