ROLE SUMMARY: 
Dollar Shave Club, one of the fastest growing men’s grooming companies is looking for a Director, Procurement. This leader will own global procurement & strategic sourcing, balancing both indirect and direct spend categories across the business. This role and organization has a direct impact on the business, increasing margin, and the end customer. Providing balance in sourcing decisions and commitments regarding liability, exposure and long-term supplier commitments will make a significant difference to business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Leadership 

• Deliver a competitive cost advantage to DSC and each business unit across the company
• Lead and deliver efficient and cost effective procurement systems
• Create strategic partnerships that enable DSC to bring innovations to life faster at more competitive cost
• Lead the Procurement organization, ensuring excellent collaboration with key business partners
• Inform key decision-making around strategic investments and spend

Strategy & Planning 

• Develop and implement a global strategy to consolidate procurement activities and improve supplier performance at lower costs
• Develop a standardized process approach to procurement including consistent contractual terms, ways of working, and supplier expectations
• Create a supplier scorecard to evaluate supplier performance and drive improvement on Quality, Delivery, Terms and Cost
• Enhance margin growth through high cost effective procurement practices Achieve or better customer expectations for cost effective negotiations and deals Set and uphold procurement standards, measures and processes for managing vendor contracts and costs

Information & Education 

• Develop sourcing and procurement value metrics, proactively agreed upon by company leadership
• Monitor transaction information to assure effective cost management
• Educate business leaders and associates on methods for cost management within and across business units

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 7-10 years experience in a dynamic procurement environment
• Proven ability to lead teams to achieve cost, quality, and time to market commitments
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
• Cross-functional experience working with various functions and their vendors including: Technology, Supply Chain, Marketing, Digital Product Management, HR, Legal and Finance
• Success in collaborating with key work partners
• Success in managing change through all levels of the organization
• Strong presentation and writing skills
• Executive presence
• B.A. in Business Management, Finance or equivalent
• International business/procurement experience a plus
