This important team is a big part of why Beachbody has the number-one home fitness programs on earth.

 

 

What will you be doing at Beachbody as the Director, Business Development?

 

  • Negotiate economic and business terms with vendors, leveraging attorney expertise/status/cache to obtain best possible outcome for Beachbody’s Digital Team from both a legal and a monetary standpoint.
  • Negotiate and draft Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, NDA’s, Software License Agreements, Content License Agreements, Digital Media Distribution Agreements, Invention Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Independent Contractor Services Agreements, Professional Services Agreements, Agency Agreements, Promotion Agreements, and other legal contracts.
  • Assist Beachbody’s legal department by serving as initial sounding board for Digital Team and Business Development Team when potential legal questions arise.  Typical questions relate to the general provisions of a contract (‘’Can we do this?”), the termination of a contract (“Can we terminate? How do we terminate?”), or whether revision of a contract is necessary (“Will this require a change order or and amendment?”).
  • Handle projects pertaining to SaaS platforms, software licensing, trademarks, and professional services.
  • Ability to research and summarize all areas of law, including trademark filings/oppositions, patents and foreign registrations.
  • Develop comprehensive and accurate financial models and clearly presenting such models to Beachbody Digital executive management.

 

We’d love to chat if you have…

 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of legal experience. A J.D. from a “top ten” law school, as well as Bachelor’s degree and an active member of The State Bar of California.
  • Strong working knowledge of contracts and demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills. Significant securities and mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • The ability to interpret complex policy, legal, contractual or regulatory requirements.
  • Strong quantitative skills and possess the ability to assess opportunities and develop financial models.
  • Ability to comprehend and explain complex technology products and services.
  • Experience in traditional media, social and digital distribution channels
