Summary

Grindr is looking for a Digital Publisher to work with our editorial team. Our ideal candidate is a lifestyle and pop culture junkie with a smart, fun voice who will work on multiple publishing verticals while also improving optimization, streamlining workflow, and pushing forward audience growth. We need an independent self-starter and critical thinker who loves trend spotting, social media and is internet obsessed.

Responsibilities

• Publish digital content on Grindr-owned properties including social, websites, and the Grindr app.
• Operate with a successful track record of publishing perfection.
• Scour the web on a regular basis to uncover new trending topics 
• Embrace change, pivot quickly.
• Find new and innovative ways to tell stories on the web
• Participate in the production of timely, clickable stories based on trending topics, using own research and as assigned by site editors and trending editors
• Participate in the creation of thoughtful, in-depth seasonal and themed features based on team and network brainstorms
• Utilize data to help drive trends/stories
• Support editors with trending content creation during special events, including award shows and Fashion Week, working quickly and concise in real time
• Send daily trending digest emails to editorial team, curating the most relevant trending content on the web
• Attend and participate in trending team meetings, editorial staff meetings, and brainstorms 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements 

• 1-2 years of experience in digital media, writing/editing, or a related field
• A healthy obsession with social media, and active accounts across multiple social platforms 
• Super strong writing and communication skills. Our trending team works quick and clean!
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• The ability to stay ahead of trends and adapt to new and changing tasks and priorities on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 
• Experience with Social Media Marketing
• A familiarity with and passion for the Grindr brand.
