We're currently looking to add another Data Scientist to our fantastic Data team. As a Data Scientist, you'll have the opportunity to inform business decisions across the organization. You'll redefine user experience through smart algorithms and machine learning and improve search, personalization and targeting. What you’ll do:

• Translate unstructured business problems into abstract mathematical frameworks
• Learn and apply new methodologies surrounding applied machine learning/computer science/statistics and make approximations when needed to build scalable algorithms
• Convey concise and actionable stories through data to different stakeholders of the company
• Work with product teams to research, prototype and implement applied machine learning solutions to improve user experience, engagement and revenue
• Work in a cross-functional atmosphere with stakeholders from Marketing, Sales and Operations to help drive business goals related to customer acquisition and retention, user targeting and personalization

What you’ll need:

• Master's or doctoral degree in statistics, computer science, operations research, computational physics or related field
• Significant work experience with machine learning and algorithmic development
• Strong proficiency in at least one high level programming language like Java / Scala / Python / C++
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised data mining algorithms (i.e. support vector machines, boosting, LDA, logistic regression, etc. ) 

Bonus points for:

• Proficiency in R, MATLAB or Weka
• Experience with large scale data analysis in Pig, Hive or Spark
