Who We’re Seeking:

Omaze's Data Science team is looking for an outstanding Data Scientist to help us build and deploy predictive models and deliver actionable insights to our team. We have unique customers, interesting problems, and scale. We’re growing. And we’re looking for great people.

Data Science was one of the earliest teams at Omaze. We approach experimentation, testing, and learning very seriously. Our Data Scientists are broad, not narrow. You’re fluent in All Things AWS™®; you enjoy building models and discovering patterns in data. And you’re familiar with AB testing and willing to design smart UI experiments, so we know our customer experience is as strong as possible.

The successful candidate will be:

Data-savvy. You have experience working with data in different environments.

Accountable. You’re great at driving projects from inception to ship.

Cross-Functional. You’re super-comfortable working across the organization to gather requirements, take feedback, and ensure you’re building the right things.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimization: Propose and implement innovative A/B tests. 
  
• Modeling: Build accurate predictive models. 
  
• Delivery: Write well designed, testable and reliable code.
  

Our Ideal Candidate:

• You have 3-5 years of professional software experience, and good familiarity with Python, Angular, SQL, pandas.
• You're familiar with functional programming languages and have experience writing code in at least one of them.
• You understand A/B testing: how to design experiments, and how to evaluate them.
• You have good understanding of linear models and generalized linear models.
• You have worked with clustering algorithms and have a good understanding of random forest and xgboost.
• You have experience with the AWS suite of technologies (Lambda, RedShift, RDS, EMR, Kinesis, S3, etc.).
• You have experience with Hadoop and/or Spark.
• You're great with distributed systems.
• You're comfortable in Unix environment and aren't afraid of Vim
