The Honest Company is seeking a Customer Development Manager for our Mass & Specialty channel! In this role, you’ll be be responsible for developing sales strategies, communicating key brand initiatives, and driving the execution of The Honest Company’s tactics. If you have experience working with a leading CPG company, extensive knowledge of marketing best practices, and a passion for The Honest Company’s mission to deliver safe, eco-friendly products to consumers, this position is for you!

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute channel/customer new product launch strategy: customer packaging requirements, recommended merchandising, trade and marketing approach, digital amplification, education execution, and customer marketing calendar
  • Portfolio and product lifecycle management: product assortment management, SKU rationalization, and exclusive SKUs
  • Analyze competitor brands, products, and pricing to develop channel/customer strategy and identify white space
  • Partner with cross functional teams to develop channel/customer sales and marketing collateral to increase brand and product awareness: email blasts, social media support, digital support, brochures/catalogues, merchandising units/displays, POS signage, Public Relations/Appearance opportunities, etc.
  • Work with the Sales Planning team to develop integrated category selling presentations and business reviews utilizing consumer trend information, syndicated data, category insights, and recommendations for implementation of strategies and tactics designed to grow The Honest Company and the overall categories we play in
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with our customer in order to provide unique programs/opportunities to elevate the Honest brand
  • Build and maintain customer/channel specific annual merchandising calendar and budget
  • Develop and manage customer/channel specific promotional strategy and measure ROI on these programs
  • Contribute to customer strategy by ensuring The Honest Company’s business objectives are achieved

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in the CPG industry
  • 3+ years of experience in account management and/or customer marketing
  • Previous experience in customer/channel marketing
  • Category management/insights department experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, & Word
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for customer/market visits, trade shows, and sales meetings

  • MBA
  • Quantitative skills and financial acumen
  • Experience with planogram software
