As a Copywriter at Spokeo, you’ll conceptualize, draft, edit, proof and distribute copy for a variety of Spokeo product and brand assets. You will work cross-departmentally with the communications, design, digital marketing, and product teams. You should be an exceptional story teller, writer, and researcher with strong marketing and technical product savvy.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Collaborating with the marketing, product, and design team to identify content needs
• Gathering content requirements, researching and writing engaging copy for a variety of product and brand communications including: websites, product flows, blog articles, infographics, display advertisements, product marketing materials, educational collateral, social media and more
• Proofreading and copyediting content assets provided by the product and marketing team
• Maintaining Spokeo’s editorial style guide ensuring brand consistency throughout all of our products and communications
• Taking ownership of all aspects of content for assigned projects including (competitive research, quality assurance, writing, editing, proofreading, and stakeholder signoff)

Experience/Qualifications:

• 5+ years of solid writing experience, capable of writing in a variety of styles
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or other relevant subject
• Solid understanding of software/e-commerce marketing models and user experience
• Expert editorial eye and judgement; knowledge of industry standard editorial style resources
• Astute and resourceful researching capabilities
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Bonus: experience in fast-paced technology/startup environment
