We’re looking for a Character Digital Sculptor to join Team Snapchat! We’re looking for someone who has experience producing 3D animation characters for 3D animations and games. In this role, you’ll partner with Art Directors and 3D modelers to develop new assets and innovative experiences. Working with the Design team, you will play an important role in shaping how Snapchat tells visual stories.
What you'll do:
- Digitally sculpt 3D characters
- Use edge loops to retopologize models
- Collaborate with character modelers, art directors, prototypers, and engineers
- Support the development of character model specs for facial expression production
- Quality check character models
What we’re looking for:
- Strong proficiency in ZBrush and 3Ds Max
- A strong 3D design portfolio showcasing your work
- Precision and an eye for details
- Knowledge of low poly and high poly modeling, and a strong proficiency in using edge loops
- Experience in producing blend shapes (facial expressions and lipsync morph targets) is a plus
- Experience in texturing and shading is a plus
- Knowledge of Autodesk Maya is a plus
- Work experience in TopoGun is a plus
- Work experience on animation projects is a big plus
- Ability to complete tasks within production schedules and deadlines in an organized manner
- Ability to learn and adapt to new workflows, methods, and various design styles
- Someone who’s open and responsive to guidance and review notes from both creative and technical supervisors
