Summary

Grindr is looking for a highly motivated digital media sales professional to join their growing sales team. This is a position that is responsible for helping to scale the West Coast brand partnerships business. You will report into the Head of Brand Partnerships. The right candidate is a hunter who enjoys breaking new business and is self-motivated, outgoing, a go-getter with a strong understanding of digital media and a proven track record of growing revenue by developing relationships and closing business with brands and agencies. The ideal candidate wants to represent a leading owned and operated brand in the market and who is passionate about the power of the Grindr brand. The candidate has a track record of success selling creative media solutions and native programs across all platforms (online and offline) in a high-paced, dynamic startup environment.

 Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect, negotiate and secure media partnerships with agencies and clients in the West Coast territory
  • Grow revenue pipeline and close deals to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Work in the LA office with occasional travel 
  • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue and new business targets
  • Work with the marketing team to create solutions-driven advertising proposals and partnership programs for clients and agencies
  • Drive partnership performance, engage with key partners on a senior level, and deliver world class partner service
  • Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners
  • Represent Grindr at key industry events as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital advertising sales, business development and/or mobile media experience including developing and closing new brand partnerships revenue.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Must be highly motivated and entrepreneurial
  • Energetic and willing to thrive in a fast growing, dynamic organization
  • Strong rolodex of West Coast based Agency and Brand relationships and proven track record of breaking new brand advertising business.
  • Excellent consultative sales and negotiating skills
  • Can effectively position Grindr brand partnership solutions through creative storytelling
  • Creative and strategic self-starter with the ability to connect with clients and build unique partnership ideas for them
  • Have a deep understanding and expertise in strategic planning and media buying
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the West Coast territory.
