What You’re Applying For:
The Advertising Performance Specialist is a dynamic and critical role that is responsible for identifying, implementing, and optimizing digital advertising products on behalf of our client partners across Tier 1 (large agency groups + OEMs), Tier 2 (regional dealership groups), and Tier 3 (thousands of dealers across the country). You will leverage Edmunds world class audience data and technology capabilities on media platforms that can deliver performance at scale. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills, outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities (bias to data), and the ability to thrive in an intense and high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Platform Research & Development: Test emerging media channels by examining the demand in our client base, analyzing competitor’s offerings, and spearheading pilots to create ROI+ advertising products with various platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, Amazon, Pinterest, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Operations: Operationalize processes for campaign management, inventory forecasting, budget allocation, pacing, delivery, and reporting analytics across thousands of dealer groups and advertisers.
- Implementation: Implement digital advertising campaigns utilizing retargeting, lookalike modeling, and other forms of audience targeting across display, video, mobile, and native advertising.
- Optimization: Design and run A/B tests in order to determine optimal bidding strategies, ad copy, placements, and audience targeting to drive KPIs and results.
- Analytics: Collaborate with analytics to develop reporting and monitor metrics including impressions, click-through-rate, cost-per-click, cost-per-action, conversion rates, etc.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, sales, engineering, data science/analytics, and operations teams to develop advertising products with a focus on automation & scalability.
- Vendor-Management: Manage advertising platform vendor relationships in order to cultivate platform expertise (new features, beta tests, advertising system architecture).
Challenges:
- Design pilot tests and build automated processes to implement and manage thousands of local dealership campaigns at scale
- Attention to detail while managing and maintaining large revenue streams for the company
What You Need:
You are passionate about the ad-tech landscape, analytics/data and understand how technology can be applied to drive revenue and weed out inefficiency. You can work cross functionally with sales, account management, product, analytics and engineering teams to develop advertising products are excited to be part of a pivotal and fast-paced team within Edmunds.com.

- Advanced MS Excel skills
While Not Required, The Following is a Plus:
- Prior experience in Paid Social, SEM, Audience Extension, Performance Marketing or other forms of direct-response and Programmatic Advertising
- Prior experience with Google Analytics, Tableau, or Salesforce
- Hands on experience operating in self-serve platforms such as Facebook, AdWords, or other Demand-Side-Platforms
- Exposure to statistical analysis, scripting languages, or SQL
