Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join Snap Inc! Working closely with the Accounting team, you will handle a wide range of accounting, travel, and entertainment bookkeeping activity. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with other Accounting team members to synthesize large amounts of data and tell the story behind the numbers.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in developing robust AP procedures, for items such as invoice approval process, documentation, and overall process flow
- Review all invoices for appropriate approval documentation prior to payment
- Process employee expense reports
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Process check requests
- Audit and process expense reports and credit card bills
- Ensure vendors are accurately set up for 1099 reporting
- Reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month-end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Assist with other projects as needed
Who we’re looking for:
- 4+ years accounts payable experience
- Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or other accounting system
- Experience with Concur or other T&E system
- A well-organized self-starter
- Able to follow standard filing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
- Able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Able to keep client matters strictly confidential
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills; able to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
