Summary
The Account Executive will specialize in SMB Sales and be responsible for both generating new business and turning incoming business leads into active clients to grow Grindr advertising sales revenue. The Account Executive will be primarily focused on targeting, closing and growing accounts with small-to-mid-sized business clients.
Responsibilities
- Proactively seek out, identify and qualify new business opportunities through targeted outreach via email and phone calls with potential advertising clients.
- Handle assigned incoming sales leads and convert into new business.
- Communicate directly with customers via email, phone and in-person meetings, gather information on client needs and create sales proposals to recommend high-level solutions based on customer needs.
- Develop strong understanding of Grindr’s ad products, internal systems, and partner teams.
- Stay organized by tracking activity in Salesforce
- Consistently achieve and/or exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
- Work from Grindr Los Angeles office
Requirements
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field is preferred
- 1-3 years Digital Media/Ad Sales
- A background working with clients and/or in a client services role with heavy phone experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel), Salesforce, Powerpoint, etc.
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to multi-task; must be able to juggle multiple projects and clients
- Strong Analytical skills; must be able to think critically about both client needs and internal solutions
