The LA-based online marketplace announced their users have received north of $20 million in principal and interest from crowdfunded equity and debt real estate investments. SpaceX has successful launch, first stage landing

After a failed launch in June, SpaceX nailed their most recent mission to space this week. The rocket launched yesterday evening and successfully delivered 11 satellites for ORBCOMM. nabs $40M

Santa Monica-based Tastemade, a food, travel and lifestyle content producer, raised a $40 million Series D last week. The round was led by Goldman Sachs with participation from Redpoint Ventures, Raine Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Liberty Media, Scripps Networks Interactive and Tohokushinsha Film Corp. DTLA-based WiFi network operator Boingo announced increased internet speeds in a select number of airports this week. They will now provide 20Mbps of speed at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Boston–Logan International, Chicago–Midway International, Chicago–O'Hare International, New York–John F.
